Pixel Picks. III

Pixel Picks – weekly links from around the web: interviews, articles, essays, poetry, fiction and non.

Enjoy.

Underground Reading: I love everything to do with secret societies and the mysteries that books hold, so this article from The New Yorker about the closing of a secret bookstore makes my world a little more sad.

When no one else understands: A great compilation of the best #growingupabooknerd tweets. Mine – when an adult says “you’re not going to real all those books are you?” Cue losing faith in adults.

Ouch: a lost manuscript of T.S. Eliot was uncovered. In it, he burns Aldous Huxley by stating he is “the sort of writer who must produce thirty bad novels before he arrives at the good one.”

Weapon of Choice: Lit Hub writes a fantastic piece of the importance of writing tools, and details writers’ favourite tools.
